muk lucks

I really don't know if I spelled that right. these are shoes wore by Alaskans in the winter. They are made of seal skin, some kind of fur, and hide. The girl wearing them is from the Inuite tribe.

I love the color in this photo however maybe next time try it with a more plain background the refrigerator draws my attention away from the boots.

I really like this one. I think that it is good to have the fridge in there. I think people were missing the point today in class. it is not always about the subject. I don't think it is a good idea to take the boots out of context. you are not trying to sell boots. So that is all to say I like the bottom of the fridge. I like the blues too.

Jess,

I love the idea of representing people by things they wear. Great idea for this project!
Placing the boots in front of the fridge is an interesting idea, but if you look at it as just an image of boots, it's best to simplify the background. I'm distracted by the fridge. A suggestion for improvement would be to switch out the direction of your image (tall instead of long) to include more of the boots and legs of the person. What if you staged the background to make it ironic? (like that person standing in sand (to represent the desert?), or on a basketball court or tennis court (where it obviously doesn't belong). Comments like this are tricky as I'd love to hear your thoughts as to your choices in this image and if things were intentional or a mistake, etc.

this picture would rock even more if it was on a solid back drop! But I love the concept!
